Tasting Notes

Aromas of red cherry, cranberry, potting soil, and dried leaves, with a subtle spice note from the oak barrels. The palate is smooth, with a texture that lets the fruit really pop on the palate, before shifting into a finish that shows roasted herbs, violets, and orange peel.

Edoardo Miroglio winery is an impressive 220 hectares of vineyards in the center of Bulgaria in the village of Elenovo in the Thracian Valley. This region, once known as Thrace, is where the origins of winemaking date back to the cult of Dionysus. In 2002, Miroglio decided to establish one of the most modern wineries in Bulgaria is this region, and the winery conducted its first production in October of 2005. With the idea of combining Italian know-how in the development of vineyards and oenology with the excellent Piedmontese tradition, the overall process for the production of wines is controlled by a group of Italian and Bulgarian oenologists led by the world's famous oenologist Marco Monchiero.
